Girl Guides of Victoria established
The first State Commissioner and the establishment of a State executive and office. With the Headquarters set up at Stonington then known as Government House.

Southern Region grows
Guiding in Southern Region grows; units and camps participate in war relief and community service. Leaders such as Florence Mitchell hold key roles (e.g. Assistant State Commissioner 1949–1953) in guiding Victoria & the Silver Fish Award.

Tynong North Campsite
Tynong North Campsite acquired for the Southern Region Girl Guides

Joyce Price Centre in South Melbourne opened
The Guides Victoria headquarters, the Joyce Price Centre is opened in South Melbourne. Named after Lady Joyce Price, a prominent Guiding figure.
